What happens if there is a water or electricity interruption?
Knysna is currently experiencing drought conditions and has been placed under Level 4 water restrictions. While Pezula has not experienced any water interruptions, we kindly encourage guests to be mindful of their water usage in support of ongoing conservation efforts.
Magic Escape Guest House is equipped with on-site rainwater storage tanks to further support water sustainability.
The property also features solar power, a 20KVA inverter, and gas geysers, ensuring uninterrupted Wi-Fi, TV, lighting, and selected appliances during power outages.
Magic Retreat, the four-bedroom home also has an inverter system offering 24/7 Wi-Fi, TV & some lights during power outages.
Is there Uber in Knysna?
Yes, Uber operates in Knysna and drivers are permitted to enter the estate for guest pick-ups. However, availability can be limited, so we recommend allowing extra time for your journey to avoid potential delays.
Can I order food and grocery deliveries to my room?
Yes, you can. Uber Eats, Mr D, Woolies Dash, and Checkers Sixty60 all deliver to Pezula. From our experience, Mr D deliveries tend to be the most accurate and efficient.
Please note that the Guest House is located on a small street that does not always appear correctly on Google Maps. We recommend using the location pin function carefully when placing your order, or contacting Vanessa for assistance if you’re unsure.
Do you have a swimming pool?
We do not have a pool that is available to guests on the property, however, if you book a treatment at the Pezula spa, all their facilities are available to you including the indoor & outdoor pools, saunas, steam rooms etc. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire duration of any spa treatment or spa facility use.
We recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment.
The Pezula Hotel concierge also offers transfers to Noetzie Private Beach at an additional fee, allowing guests to enjoy a relaxed day by the sea. Alternatively, you can visit nearby beaches such as Bollard Bay on Leisure Island, Brenton-on-Sea, or Buffalo Bay.
How far is Knysna's CBD?
The drive from Pezula takes approximately 15 minutes and may be slightly longer during peak traffic periods. The Knysna Heads are just a 5–10 minute drive away.
Can I walk around the golf course?
Yes, guests are welcome to walk on the golf cart paths before 7:00 AM and after 7:00 PM. Please note that bicycles are not permitted on the golf course at any time.
A recently installed pedestrian walkway now connects the main estate entrance to the tennis courts, providing a safe and convenient route for guests and families to explore Pezula on foot.
Do I get preferred rates at Pezula Golf Club as a guest at Pezula Magic?
Unfortunately, no — guest houses within the estate do not receive discounted rates for the golf course.
